This video was one of my first guitar instrumental covers that I made. It was shot way back 2010, when I was a second year student in high school. Currently this is my second most viewed video. This cover is an outcome of my learning and practicing finger plucking; and also the time when I was still a fan of some pop songs.
I learned to play it just by ear; to be honest, I don't really know how to read notes or music sheets. First thing I did was to get the chord progression and then mimic the vocal part with the strings. The challenge was fusing them together for me to simultaneously play both rhythm and vocal. I practiced it for some months and finally I decided to shoot it. Notice that the the video progresses, it gets darker. This was because I shot it alone in my room when the sun was setting. Through video editing, I added some filter that brightened the clip since some clips were really dark. It really took some hours for me to shoot since I committed lot of errors and that's why I had to shoot it part by part, then edited it to fuse the clips. I uploaded it to Youtube and shared it to my friends. Until now, I still couldn't believe how much views it has garnered; It's quite an achievement for me for reaching even a thousand views for one video.
